Richardson 112FP

Hat Info As you might have guessed, the Richardson 112FP is simply a 5 panel version of the famous 112 model. This change creates a "pinch front" crown with a front seam that doesn't carry forward down the center of the front crown.

This has a few benefits. First it creates a perfectly even spot to apply patches which eliminates the chances that the center seam bump will show through the patch. Secondly, if you don't like the feel of the center seam on your forehead, but still want the look of the 112, this is the best of both worlds.

We're trying to get more colors, but our distributors are having a difficult time keeping them in stock.

Our Opinion
** Note from Josh (Pickwicks owner):

If you read my opinion of the 112, you'll probably know that I'm a fan of the 112FP. The seamless front crown means I don't have to worry about possibly feeling the extra seam bulk through the front sweatband. I can always count on the 112FP to have a consistent feel.

Another underrated feature is that the flat front means your patch is going to look perfectly smooth once it's sewn on. The bump under the patch caused by 6 panel hats front seam doesn't bother most people, but some people don't want to take the chance.

Some people don't like the look of the short center seam on 5 panel hats. If you're in that camp, you're in luck because 6 panel hats are, and probably always will be the industry standard. If not, the 112FP is a great choice!
