The Richardson 212 is known as their "Pro Twill Snapback" model. As the name suggests, this is a fully twill fabric model (no mesh back), but it retains their traditional snapback instead of the hook & loop closure you see on many full twill hats.
This hat is much closer to a normal baseball cap compared to the trucker caps Richardson has become known for. Because of this, they've become really popular with rec league baseball/softball teams.
Sometimes you just want a relaxed, comfortable hat and the 212 fits the bill well. The crown is structured so it's not a relaxed to the point of a floppy dad hat, but the full twill construction and precurved visor does give it a traditional vibe.
This is probably the most "standard" hat we carry, which is great for people that aren't looking for surprises or haven't had a chance to try out any of the specific hats we carry.
It's a good looking hat built with Richardson quality and that was enough for me to want it in our lineup.
